About the Phoenix Singers

The Phoenix Singers are a Georgina-based group of a cappella singers.  We organized with the common goal of presenting the classical music that we love to sing, to Georgina and the surrounding area, without the formality one usually associates with a classical music concert.  We have a lot of fun singing together and we hope that translates to our audiences.  Our membership consists of singers young and old(er).  We have been singing together in a larger choir for about 10 years but only recently branched out as a smaller local ensemble.  We have a growing repertoire of beautiful music written by some well-known and some not-so-well-known composers, but have also been known to throw in some more familiar 20th century pieces on occasion. Sometimes we even sing with piano accompaniment!
